Enjoy animal-themed fun with your youngster! Each month you’ll go on a different animal adventure to learn wonderful things about the creatures you share the Earth with. All sessions include an animal presentation, take-home craft, snack, and a story. Offered evenings and mornings.
This 90-minute program runs 6:30–8 p.m. or 9–10:30 a.m. Each month features a different theme.
January: Snow Critters
What features do creatures have for living in the snow? Learn the answers through fun storytelling and by meeting some special animals. Make a snowy scene for a critter while enjoying hot cocoa and a cinnamon “icicle.”
February: Pretty & Pink
You’ll be seeing lots of pink on Valentine’s Day. Meet radiantly pink animals, and learn how they show their love for each other. Hear some heartfelt stories, and make a heart-healthy edible necklace while sipping on pink lemonade.
March: Wild Things are Here
Listen to the story Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. Venture into the Children’s Zoo for a special encounter with some of our wildest animals. Create a crown or wild mask of your own, and enjoy a warm treat in the classroom.
