Become an official Junior Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND California by competing in the 2010 Master Model Builder Competition. Our building contest will be held the second full weekend of each month at LEGOLAND California. Simply stop by the Imagination Zone and complete a model using the bricks and baseplate provided and enter a masterpiece in one of three age categories: 9 and under, 10 – 15 and 16+ (adults are welcome to participate). The building competition begins at 10am when the park opens and continues until two hours prior to Park close on each of the competition days. On the following Monday, all the models from the weekend will be judged by a Master Model Builder and one winner from each of the three age categories above will be chosen. A selection of completed models will be showcased in the Imagination Zone. If selected as a monthly finalist, your model will be featured on www.LEGOLAND.com! (Courtesy of www.legoland.com)

Keebler Kids Marathon Mile Set For January 24, 2009
Fun Run Dashes Through LEGOLAND® California
The Keebler® Kids Marathon Mile, a fun run/walk, is set for Saturday, January 24, 2009,
announced In Motion, Inc., the event organizer. The one mile, age-grouped races start
at 8:00 am and loop through LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad.
Although geared for children aged 12 and younger, the non-competitive event is open to
people of all ages. “Moms, dads and siblings are all welcome,” said Lynn Flanagan,
race director and president of In Motion, Inc. “It’s a healthy activity that a family can do
together. The children love the opportunity to dash through Legoland.”
In addition to being a family-friendly event, the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile raises funds
for area schools through its Run for Your School Program – if there are at least ten
entries from a particular school, the entrants from that school automatically become
members of a school team and the school will receive $2.00 for each paid entry.
Held during the Carlsbad Marathon race weekend, the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile will
also feature a diaper dash for babies who still travel on all fours and a free family expo
with entertainment and fun activities. The Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon are
scheduled for Sunday, January 25, 2009.
Every registered child who participates in the Mile is considered a winner and will
receive a gold medal. In addition, entrants will receive a T-shirt, a coupon for one free
child’s admission to LEGOLAND California (valid Saturday, 1/24/09 or Sunday, 1/25/09
for ages 3 to 12), one free Ultra Star Cinemas® child admission movie ticket and
popcorn, as well as a goodie bag full of Keebler® treats and coupons.
The registration fee for the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile is $15 per entry prior to race day
and $20 on race day* (*space permitting). Event-day registration starts at 7:00 am.
Adults have the option of registering at full price or as a companion.
A savings of $3 per entry (up to two) is available by shopping at Albertsons with
purchase of a Keebler® or Cheez-It® cookies or crackers product and provide the
product’s UPC and Albertsons® receipt as proof of purchase. See the event web site for
